What is FitKidz after-school enrichment activity?

Welcome to FitKidz ‘Creative Hub’, a home-school enrichment activity! This exciting class provides a place where kids can extend their learning to improve or enhance skills, knowledge and well-being during March restrictions. This online class runs on a Tuesday and Thursday and is offered with the goal of providing entertainment and enjoyment, while sharpening kids skill sets, interact and make new friends.

This is a 4 week term running weekly to the end of March. This ‘Creative Hub’ has been designed as a support network to keep kids engaging in a creative way, learning new online skills while having enormous fun! Each class focuses on a different activity such as art design, craft making, interactive games which is ideal for kids who have busy parents working from home and need the extra support. These confidence building activities include:

  • Finding your artistic niche
  • Creative writing and story telling
  • Manga Art
  • Spring Puzzles
  • Water Colouring
  • Neographica Art
  • Interactive Games

This class is great for boosting confidence, resilience, creative thinking, problem solving, practicing motor skills and co-ordination while learning new skills in an interactive virtual setting.

The benefits of ‘making’ and creative play in online camps are endless including:

  • Motor Skills Development
  • Improved Numeracy
  • Concentration
  • Imagination
  • Problem Solving
  • Visualisation
  • Improves Academic Performance

Educational and Enriching…

Meaning, don’t be fooled into thinking an activity can’t be enriching. I think we as parents sometimes fall into the idea that if something is fun, it can’t be enriching. Just like when it comes to food—if it tastes good, it can’t be healthy!

But, there is definitely a balance that can be struck, with plenty of fun activities being enriching and “nourishing” for our kids.
