Delighted to announce “Teen Warrior Training”, a well needed devised programme for teenagers between 13-16 years old.
New class for Teens starts Friday September 11th in person, online or Teen Personal Training outdoors and upcoming at Glenview Leisure Club. Teen Warriors is structured around Growth Mindset, strength and resilience. The group classes involve an 8-week intensive course, Every Friday 5-6pm (during school term) participants will learn discipline-based techniques based around the following:
- Indian Martial Arts Training (Kalarippayattu)
- Resistance Training
- Cardio Kick-boxing
- Body Pump and Spinning
- Circuit Training
- Full Nutrition Plans
This is unique training for Teenagers which works on mind-set and preparation skills. Kalarippayattu, the martial art of Kalari, is considered to be the mother of all martial arts. Kalaripayattu is a holistic form of physical training, which combines the dynamic skills of attack and defence with the secret knowledge of the Marma points. This training is facilitated by Heidi Ellen Love and is non-weapons based.
Practicing the martial art not only increases the bodily strength, but also helps achieve better blood circulation, flexibility, levels of endurance, stamina, concentration, self-control, posture, muscle tone, speed in physical movements and neuro-muscular coordination.
Over the weeks participants will be trained in resistance- based training. Resistance Training is a form of exercise that improves muscular strength and endurance. This is also known as strength training or weight lifting. During a resistance training workout, you move your limbs against resistance provided by your body weight, gravity, bands, weighted bars, or dumbbells.
After 4 Weeks participants will then be taught different forms of kick boxing and circuit based exercises. Keeping with COVID-19 exercises will be station based with equipment cleaned before and after each session. Teens will be provided with a mask and the studio is ventilated.
This is an exciting course for Teens who wish to learn a ‘Warrior’ Mindset and skill-based to prepare participants to face any fears and anxieties they may have. Heidi also provides nutrition plans and specialised diets during this intense training.
